Henderson Auto is family to me and they treat me like part of their family too. I originally was referred to Henderson when my new car was hit in an accident and after getting it back from a local repair company would not drive straight. I took it to several places around town and everyone told me the alignment was fine, even though it pulled hard to the right every time I drove it. It was a very stressful situation. One day a person mentioned I should take my car to Henderson because they are very good with alignment issues. I am ever thankful for that recommendation. Sure enough, my car was out of alignment and Henderson fixed it and it has driven straight ever since... and that was almost 10 years ago. I was sold after that. Henderson immediately became my go to place for mechanical needs. They take care of all the cars in my family. They are fair, honest and trustworthy. I want to send a big thank you to Brian, Katy and all the people working in the shop ensuring our cars are safe for the road. The shop dogs, Peanut and Charlie, are an added bonus and I always look forward to seeing them as well. If you want a place you can trust to handle your car needs, go to Henderson!

My daughter bought a car from a less-than-honest dealer her first time. Live and learn, right? Needless to say, the 2011 Subaru turned out to be a cluster of issues. We took it to our longtime mechanics, trusting they would advise us on what needed fixing to ensure safety. They addressed a couple of significant issues, but alignment wasn't their specialty. So, I had to find someone else for that, and Discount Auto recommended Henderson's Auto in Tigard. When Henderson's called, they informed us that while the back end had been fixed, they couldn't properly align it because the front end was cracked and torn a concern I had raised with the previous shop, which dismissed it. Additionally, they noted that the battery we had installed was wrong for the car. The previous shop notified me, but, said it was working fine. Henderson's pointed out that the terminals were on the wrong side and rubbing against the fender, posing a fire hazard. Though it wasn't what I wanted to hear, it was the right thing to say and the safe recommendation to make. I truly appreciate their straightforward approach and the thorough explanation behind their recommendations. This is how business is done, we will be going back. Thanks to Brian, Doug, and everyone at the shop!

I reached out to Henderson Auto because I was feeling uncomfortable with the service and repairs I was receiving from my current auto repair shop. I spoke with Brian, the owner, as I had heard great things about Henderson Auto from our community. He quickly replied to my email and took time to talk with me about what was going on. He was not only respectful and helpful, but offered to talk with me a second (and ultimately third) time once I heard more from my current repair shop. He offered his perspective on what I was being told and I felt he was very genuine and knowledgeable in his answers. While I have less concerns about my current repair shop having "done me wrong" and ultimately the car is a complete and expensive loss for us, someday when I get a "new" used car I look forward to taking my car to Henderson Auto as I feel comfortable that he is honest and reliable. Thank you, Brian, for being so generous with your time for a complete stranger stressed out about cars and expenses. Awesome service all around! They worked my outback in quickly following the holiday's and even with a shorter week they were able to efficiently diagnose the issue I wanted them to check and also do a full check everywhere else. The report they send over is extreamly thorough but also conscise and easy to understand. Further, after i had a chance to review the report, they were diligent in confirming what services i wanted to proceed with and getting me back on the road by the end of the week. Great customer service, shop service and affordable pricing. Will definitely be back to Henderson Auto in future with any needs!

Henderson Auto is the epitome of professionalism, fair pricing and customer service in the auto repair business, whether compared to other auto shops or higher-priced dealerships. Great to see such thorough inspection reports with photos and details, and the way they flag any items that might need immediate or future attention. I appreciate their text confirmation and two-week advance reminder for appointments. For a single car household, it's nice that they offer Fridays 10am and 1pm appointments just for the oil & filter change service, rather than their usual drop-off in the morning and pick up afternoon or end of day.

My car suddenly wouldn't turn on nor jump start in my garage. I had plans to take my car to Beaverton Honda where I usually get service, but after a recent experience where they tried to price gouge me on services, I decided to look for a local mechanic. I called Henderson on the Tuesday after Labor Day, Brian let me know that I could have my car towed to their shop, but that it's likely they couldn't look at it until the following week. It was towed in at the end of the day Tuesday, on Wednesday I received a text with an inspection report and suggested fixes, and by Thursday morning my car was ready! The total price came under the low end of their estimate and they didn't try to upsell on any other services. Needless to say, I've found the local mechanic I'm looking for. We'll be bringing both of our cars to Henderson from now on.

Brian at Henderson's is really a great guy to deal with. I recently had work done on my Subaru. I had many questions about my vehicle, and he answered them patiently, honestly and clearly. He was not pushy and even provided recommendations that helped me avoid (or at least put off) costly repairs on my old vehicle. I really appreciated his time. He definitely treated me well and made me feel like a valued customer.

Love Brian and his crew. From the moment I called to the finished repairs I was treated as if my vehicle was the most important thing on their schedule. They worked with me on my payments and treated me with respect. Today is my second visit to finish up repairs. Something new & nifty, I now receive an email containing my inspection report with Urgent & Cautionary recommendations for my auto care and no pressure discussion about what services I as the customer want performed. No surprise charges or unauthorized repairs and I have actually saved $$. I also receive an itemized invoice for my records which is so important. I am a huge fan!! I continue to recommend them to everyone I can.

Great experience with this shop, from the initial estimate to the pick up, Henderson made everything easy and sent the diagnosis with photos straight to my phone. I brought my 2016 Ford Fiesta for a timing belt replacement and their estimate was several hundred $ less than the Ford dealership wanted to charge. The receptionist and technician were both extremely helpful and friendly as well. Highly recommend and will be back if anything else needs fixing!

What a great experience! Thought I needed an oil gauge sensor...turns out, My poor car actually had a ginormous oil leak. Brian was super helpful, explained things clearly, and didn't try to sell me on unnecessary work. I will return for future upkeep for sure. Absolutely recommend this spot for all your car needs!

I don't write reviews, but if I could give a million stars to Henderson Auto, I would. My daughter, who lives in Portland, has been so happy with the service she has received there that we drove from California to have my son's Subaru engine repaired there. It was a tough situation. He bought the car, and a week later, found out the engine had issues. Turns out, it had huge, expensive issues. The whole engine needed to be rebuilt. Bryan was so patient with us as we had him take the car apart and diagnose all the issues and then put it back together so we could get an trade-in appraisal. Then, we brought it back to him and then changed our minds again and decided to get rid of it. Henderson Auto did a great job diagnosing all the problems it had. Bryan spent a great deal of time on the phone with me. He gave me very good advice. He is HONEST and FAIR and definitely goes the extra mile. An amazing auto shop. I have taken two cars here over the years and have always found them to be honest, hard-working people. My most recent experience was for a check engine light and they were able to fit me in very quickly. Whereas many shops try to squeeze as much $$ out of customers as they can, Henderson is different. They diagnose the issue and suggested that I reach out to the dealership since the repair can potentially be covered under warranty, saving me over $1K. Although this loses business for Henderson, he was open and honest about the situation. He also provided a bit of guidance on the issue and how to approach it. The topper was the request that I circle back to let them know the outcome because they want to be able to confidently advise other customers that have the same issue, in regards to warranty coverage and saving them money. Top notch service and customer care. I highly recommend.

Unfortunately my experience did not have a happy ending. But Brian explained everything to me while explaining that it would be so expensive that I should just get a new car. Brian only charged me $50 or $60 bucks to look at it. Brian also allowed me to leave the car while I arranged to have it salvaged. My wife & I were out running errands on a Friday. There wasn't a hint of a problem with our car at any time ... until it wouldn't start. The feeling of dread was unavoidable. Friday. Mid-afternoon. Expensive. We had reservations for a stay at the coast Saturday. Now what? After getting a jump, we kept it running, trying to find somewhere to take it. We tried our usual place but told we'd have to leave the car & pick it up in a couple of days because they were short staffed. We stopped by Henderson on a chance they could help. And yes they did. Brian was terrific. He took the time to check the battery and determined I'd need a new one and new terminal connections due to a large amount of corrosion. Brian said his mechanics were busy but he would personally do it, confirmed he had the parts, told the price and said it would be done in 45-60 mins. Well, the result was that it was done, done right, at the agreed upon price within the hour. We were impressed with the work, satisfied with the fair price and blown away with the customer service. Brian has convinced us to make his shop our go to shop.

The team at Henderson Auto went above & beyond & far exceeded our expectations!! The week of 9/6 we left our home in SoCal on a 4 week road trip in NoCal the battery light came on and we limped into a Ford dealership where they diagnosed a bad battery and weak alternator.they replaced the battery & sent us on our way in Beaverton we again went completely dead, called AAA which took us to a nearby Ford dealer where we were told it would be 9/19 before they could look at our F-150. I called another dealer and they sad it would be 9/30 before they could check it friend recommended we try Henderson as did the tow truck driver Henderson said it may be the 13th before they could check the truck took it to Henderson on the 8th, they did a 10 point inspection on the 9th, repaired everything that needed fixed including a new alternator (urgent), headlight, license plate light (non-urgent) and had the truck ready for a touch free pickup on that afternoon!! A gigantic thank you to Brian, Katie & their team for keeping our trip on schedule!!

Super friendly. Was looking for an ACE Delco battery and got their name from the AC Delco website. Very friendly on the phone, got the battery I wanted ordered in and delivered within 2 hrs. The guy on the phone had told me there was a core fee for the battery but when I showed up he told me he wasn't going to charge me for it and just asked that I return the old battery after I swapped them out. Very friendly and great customer service will bring me back again soon
